Herbicide R&D Department consists of novel herbicide discovery research lab and process development research lab. Undertook 10 national key scientific and technological programs during the “7th Five-year Plan” to the “13th Five-Year Plan”. Apply 120 patents, authorize 71 patents; meanwhile apply 17 international patents, and obtained 18 patents licensing from America, Japan, Europe, etc.

New Medicine Discovery & Research Lab

New Medicine Discovery & Research Lab has been working on the discovery and research of novel bioactive compounds since its establishment in 1989. On this basis, it has developed and invented the safe and efficient insecticide - tetrachlorantraniliprole and acaricide SYP-9625. Now, it focuses on market-oriented discovery research on novel active herbicidal compounds for the major resistant weeds.

Tetrachlorantraniliprole's sales volume has been accumulated to around CNY 200 million since its listing in 2014; 9080 (tetrachlorantraniliprole's trade name) was awarded "Branded Product with the Most Market Explosive Power in China Crop Protection Market" in 2015, and as "Best-Selling Branded Insecticide in China Crop Protection Market" for successive 4 years by China Crop Protection Industry Association from 2014 to 2017. The "Discovery of Efficient and Safe Pesticide - Tetrachlorantraniliprole" was awarded the first prize of the 9th Pesticide Innovation Award by China Crop Protection Industry Association in 2016.

SYP-9625's sales volume has been accumulated to around CNY 150 million since its launch in 2017. Baozhuo (SYP-9625's trade name) was awarded "Branded Product with the Most Market Potential Power in China Crop Protection Market" in 2017. In the same year, the "Discovery of Efficient and Safe Acaricide - SYP-9625" was awarded the first prize of the 10th Pesticide Innovation Award by China Crop Protection Industry Association in 2017.

Process Development and Research Lab

The Process Development and Research Lab has been mainly engaged in research on synthetic process of novel pesticide variety and the synthetic process of pesticide intermediate and other various fine chemicals. It developed metsulfuron, picolinic acid, imidazolinone series, cyclohexenone series, triazolopyrimidine amine herbicides, where the pyrazosulfuron-ethyl, quinclorac, imazethapyr, traloxydim, clethodim, sethoxydim and other products take the lead in realizing industrialization in China, obtaining remarkable economic benefits and social benefits. The pyrazosulfuron-ethyl, quinclorac and sethoxydim won the second prize of Scientific and Technological Progress and the second prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of Liaoning Province by the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China. Clethodim won the third prize of the 1st Scientific and Technological Progress and the third prize of Scientific and Technological Achievement Transformation of Liaoning Province by Sinochem Group. Tralkoxydims won the third prize of Scientific and Technological Progress by Sinochem Group.
